What Mental Health Conditions Does The Cabin Wellness Treat?

We treat various mental health disorders: our treatment programme and retreat help people struggling with depression and anxiety as well as PTS and trauma.

How Does The Cabin Wellness Treat Mental Health Conditions?

At our clinic, we use a unique approach to help people overcome depression, anxiety, PTS, and trauma. Our programme combines the traditional Western model of psychotherapy (such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Neurofeedback) with Eastern approaches to holistic well-being. This combination creates a powerful treatment program that has received praise among the behavioural health community. In addition to our core program, we also offer mindfulness therapy and personalized exercise therapy to enhance our clients’ treatment experience. For clients experiencing PTS or trauma symptoms, we use an evidence-based therapy called EMDR.

What Does the Retreat Programme Include?

Our residential treatment programmes include private accommodations, all meals, individual counselling, group therapy sessions, physical therapy, massage therapy, weekly excursions, and aftercare. These comprehensive programs provide a range of support and therapeutic interventions to help you heal and recover from your mental health disorder. You’ll have the opportunity to focus on your treatment in a safe and supportive environment, surrounded by experienced professionals and a community of peers.

How Long Will I Have to Stay at The Cabin Wellness?
This largely depends on the severity and duration of your mental health disorder. But the minimum duration of our comprehensive inpatient programme is 4 weeks, which can be extended up to 12 weeks.
Are there any Extracurricular Activities at The Cabin Wellness?

Every Sunday, we encourage our clients to take part in fun and professionally-managed excursions. These activities provide an opportunity to break up the routine of treatment and explore the local area. The Cabin Wellness clinical support staff will be on hand to provide support and supervision. The number and type of excursions you can participate in will depend on the length of your programme.

Payment

How Does Payment Work at The Cabin Wellness?

A 35% deposit is required for all reservations in order to book your place. Full payment is due prior to arrival at The Cabin Welness.

Is There a Refund Policy at The Cabin Wellness?

The Cabin is the only treatment centre that offers a pro-rata refund on request if a client chooses to exit the programme within 7 days of arrival, with only the 35% deposit being non-refundable. We offer this because we are confident in the quality of our treatment programme.

Can I Use my Insurance for Treatment at The Cabin Wellness Retreat?

We are a recognized provider by many major worldwide insurers, including but not exclusively: Aetna, CIGNA, United Healthcare and the VA Foreign Medical Programme. We have more than a decade of experience helping clients successfully claim their insurance for conditions such as substance abuse, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar and depression. We work closely to provide the necessary bespoke reports that serve the requirements needed to get a GOP or to provide supporting documentation. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider directly to find out what your policy covers.

Is Aftercare Available for Those who have Graduated From the Wellness Retreat Programme?

At The Cabin Wellness, we understand that aftercare is essential for supporting a full recovery. That’s why we offer a free 2-week aftercare programme that includes regular online group therapy sessions. This allows clients to see and interact not only with their therapist but also with other participants, which can help to foster a sense of community and support. In addition to the free group counselling sessions, clients can also choose to participate in paid individual counselling sessions. We also have outpatient clinics in various cities, including London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney, where clients can access additional aftercare support.

Does The Cabin Wellness Have Phones and/or Internet Available?

At The Cabin Wellness, we provide an optimal environment for a total immersion treatment programme. While we understand that some communication with family or business may be necessary or helpful, we do limit phone and internet access during your stay at our retreat. This is intended to support your focus on treatment and allow you to fully engage in the programme without distractions. If you need to make any important calls or access the internet for urgent reasons, you can discuss this with our staff and we will work with you to find a solution.

What Would a Day Be Like at The Cabin Wellness?
During the week, daily routines typically include group therapy, individual therapy, fitness therapy, mindfulness coaching, and other therapeutic workshops. Saturday mornings are typically reserved for art or drum therapy, while afternoons are for personal time or taking advantage of professional grooming services. Sundays are typically reserved for fun day trips or excursions around Chiang Mai. This schedule provides a balance of structured therapeutic activities and free time to support your recovery and help you develop healthy habits and coping skills.
